Special Thanks for helping make this year's Fireworks such a success.

Hythe Primary would like to give special thanks the following people for their help in making this year’s fireworks such a big success.

Alistair Parker and Jerry Still for lending us much appreciated lighting and to Bertwell Electrical for their donation of two site lights to the Friends to use at outdoor events.

Thanks also to Marcus Kendall and the boys from the Parks and Recreation Department of the Hythe & Dibden Parish Council for their help on site; and Toys Ahoy and Ebeneezers for selling tickets.

St John's Christmas Tree Festival

Here’s the Hythe Primary tree up & looking lovely at the St John’s Christmas Tree Festival.  Visit it & lots of other trees (and bid on any you would like to own) until 6th December.

E.L.S.A. Room Refurbishment Complete

At the end of the summer, the Friends of Hythe Primary agreed to contribute the funds raised at the Summer Fair to the refurbishment of the Emotional Learning Support Assistance room (or E.L.S.A. for short) in the school.  It has been completely redecorated & transformed from an unloved office environment into a colourful, child-friendly room.

The emotional support provided helps the children (who currently make up 10% of our pupils,) to feel safe and listened to and assists them in finding techniques to manage their feelings. This helps to improve their behaviour, which in turn benefits the whole school community.  The room is also used as quiet area and for occupational therapy.

Hythe Community Fireworks 2015

A big thank you to everyone who came out (despite the mud & the weather) & made the Fireworks on at Ewart Rec such a success - your enjoyment & attendance makes it all worth while.

See you all again on 3rd November 2016!
